Happy Christmas Crafty Bloggers!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a wonderful time and your mojo's return for 2010 - they do tend to disappear after Christmas don't they??????

I hope that 2010 is a truely great year for all of you - 2009 was a pretty good one for me, so I'm hoping it's just gonna get better! Thank you to all of you who take time to visit my blog and a bigger thank you to those of you who leave comments - they are really appreciated.

See you all next year!
Love, Juniemoon xx

More football, but not a logo in sight.....

The footballs are cut with the Quickutz die and the lettering is with the Cuttlebug You're Not the Boss of Me alphabet. I hope you can see that I cut the front of the card and joined them together again with the footballs.

Sad I know, but something we have to do...

No one likes having to send these cards and it seems even sadder to have to make them, but hopefully the recipient will take comfort from the love that it was made with. The embossing was done with a Dreamweaver stencil and the black tulle from CUL.
Plain, simple but with love x

Shhh - hope she doesn't peak....

Shh... don't tell her. This is to be her birthday card and it's not until next week, but I just couldn't wait to put it on my blog as I love it so much.

The papers are from SU (gorgeous chocolate pack), the ovals were cut from SU punches and the roses and lillies were from ME - made with my own fair hands - plain white, with a little stickles on the edges of the petals.

Remember shhh.... Mum's the word.....

He's only gawn an won another award!!!!

My mate Kev who works for the Met Police has one ANOTHER award! He works for the bits of the Met that we only see on documentaries on TV. Anyway, I had to make another quick card before he collected his medal. The image was from Mr. Google... the backing paper I made it quickly on the computer and lots of different shades of Bazzill. It was a good excuse to try out the easel card template. Well done Kev!

Yo Me Bro is nearly 50.....

Well, well, well me little Bro will be the big five-O in one year's time. He made me suffer something chronic so I'm just getting warmed up for a whole year's worth of sisterly-brotherly lurve....

Anyway, here's his 50 minus 1 year card. There is only one team in our family - I'm sure I don't need to mention their name. The basic design was one I'd taken a picture of somewhere, quite sometime ago (it was a girly pink one in the photo). The plain blue is Bazzill and the peel offs are Anita's I believe. Looking at it again I think I may put some dots around the small logos to bring them out a bit more.

Lands Girls and low-flying bombers...

I've just got back from a beautiful wedding in Norfolk. What a fantastic time we had - the wedding was in a teeny-weeny little church on private land - the poor bride couldn't walk down the aisle alongside her dad cause it wasn't wide enough! Then we walked up the lane to a barn which was lit with thousands of tiny little fairy lights and candles for the barbeque reception. There was also a bouncy castle, bucking bronco, popcorn machine, chocolate fountain and even a craft table for the kids. The sun shone, the bride was beautiful and it was all very very lovely. I was asked to make the invites for the wedding and also the cards from the parents to the bride and groom.

Oh yes re the "title" of this blog..... driving through the Norfolk countryside I felt as if I had been taken back in time to WW2 - fields and fields of harvesting in process, with little buildings dotted amongst them where the soldiers hid with their guns - all that was missing was land army girls and low-flying bombers....

Do you think she's trying to tell me something?

As many of my fellow crafting bloggers share their feline piccies with us my Rosie decided to get in on the act too. Her sister Bella is more interested in my craft table.....

Flowers with Jane at CUL

Well!!!!!! What a day was Thursday! How lucky was I? I was absolutely bowled over by the rose class with Jane Gill at CUL - so bowled over I stayed for the afternoon class too!!! As crafters we all have the "must have NOW" feeling, but I had the "must do lots more/Wow" feeling.

We made these roses using 80gsm pink paper, a dark pink ink pad, PVA glue - it's really difficult to tell you anymore - you have to go on a class! I'll certainly be asking Paula at CUL to invite Jane to do more classes - can't wait!

Thank you Jane x

Vikki will go to the ball...

I was asked to make this card - these shoe cards are so lovely, very feminine and I just love putting all the blingy bits on! I used the cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder. The font for "Vikki" is a Quickutz (sorry can't remember the name). The oval shapes are SU punches. The flowers and bling are from CUL. The swirl on the box is also Quickutz. The pink card is Bazzil Bling pink something-or-other!

Thank you

End of term seems so long ago now and I'm soooo enjoying my wonderful 6 week holiday. Crafting juices have been flowing but I've been so busy doing other things I've just not had the time to release them! Anyway, hope you like this card - left it to the last minute before making it - of course....

The scalloped card idea came from a Jane Gill class I went on last year. However, once the circle is chopped in 'half' I was at a loss as to what to do with the smaller 'half' so played around and quite liked this idea. The edges were decorated with various sets of Tapestry Stamps.

Something to share...

I've just returned from my holiday - Lake Guarda, Italy. Surely, this just has to be one of the most beautiful places in the World? So sorry, my 'post' isn't about crafting but just a picture to share with my Bloggie friends xx

Mama Mia!

One of the affects of working in a an all-women team is we have an awful lot of 'Leaving to have a Baby' cards. Thank goodness Magnolia have bought out this little scrummy beauty 'cause we have not one, not two, but THREE leaving this month to have their babies!

The pics are a little small but the papers were beautiful. The lemony/cream one is an old paper by Karen Neuburger - sorry don't know the name of it. The raspberry one is "Berry Pink" by Doodlebug and the orange is "Tangerine Swiss Dot" also by Doodlebug. The words are "Baby Wishes" by Woodware. Good luck Mamas-To-Be Emma, Rachel and Alison!

Sooooo Many May Celebrations.....

I have sure been a busy bee these last few weeks and I'm not halfway there yet!

Here goes the chocolate one - papers from K&Company and the flower from CUL.
Lilac Mother-to-Be one - image from Pink Petticoat, coloured with watercolour pencils, daisy paper - Making Memories, flowers CUL.  I used my Stampin Up! scallop edge too.
The "Freya" one - the topper was made at a Wendy Horrod class at CUL yonks ago - all with Quickutz.
The cupcake one - papers were free with a magazine (Card Making & Papercraft), cupcake is by Alota coloured with watercolours and some stickles, little Tilda normally carries a heart shaped balloon, but I cut it off, flowers by CUL and the large "30" is cut using Quickutz Roxy.

Little Lauren is a whole One year's old!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my littlest niece Lauren. The shoes are the Quickutz Baby Shoes & Pin die and cut from Pebblesinc Party Time Girl. I cut the shoes with thick white card and mounted the pink on them to give them more height. Backing papers are Fairest of Them All "Crowning Moment" and Bazzill Bling pink (no idea of shade, ask my mate SarahK she knows all the colours!!!). The little pink buttons are Pearls Perles Crystal Stickers. The font for the name is Quickutz Moxie. Pretty sure I got it all from CUL.

In true crafter's tradition - this card has been wallowing around my brain for some days now... shall I do this... shall I do that.... and then at 5am this morning I woke up, got up and made it!!!!!!

Ruby, Ruby Ruby Ruby.....

You don't know just how difficult it was to make this card.... I've been listening to the Chelsea v Barcelona game - gutted, absolutely gutted. I'm amazed I actually managed to get enough mojo to finish it...

The card blank is available from Crafty Caz and the red velour paper is Poinsetta from Making Memories which I bought at CUL. The big hearts are Quickutz die and the smaller hearts are from a Woodware punch.

Weaving dreams with Butterflies

I bought this beautiful Dreamweaver stencil at my recent trip to Ally Pally.   I used Dreamweaver embossing paste and loads of blingy glitter.

Ella-Bella is 4

Now my bestest mate Paula is a Nar-Nee to little Ella (Bella) - of course, she's much older than me 'cause I'm far to young to be a Nar-Nee to anyone! Ella (Bella) lives in Norfolk and has a lovely accent - hence the "Nar-Nee" (Nanny). Last year when Ella (Bella) was still a baby (at 3) I had to do an Angelina "Ballermina" card but this year when we're a big girl her card had to be something a little more fitting to a nearly-Princess....

The papers I used were Imaginisce Fairest of Them All - Be Back by Midnight, some pale green Bazzill, Fiskars ribbon border punch, pink organza ribbon, Quickutz Label, Flourish and Roxy alphabet - all from CUL. The "E" is a chipboard letter covered in the Imaginisce paper.

Oh What a Joy (now that it's finished....)

I love this now it's finished - took me a while I can tell you! The design is by Valerie Stangle and the 'distructions' appear on the scor-pal website. I used Bazzil bling for the base card, SU papers and ribbon - the peel offs were ones I'd had in the box for yonks - to be honest they were a bit naff (very thin) - won't mention where they came from but I bought them off the TV..... I chalked the white card to make it a little less harsh and coloured the peel-offs with my Sakura pens. Now I've made the first one, the next will be easier, but am I the only one that finds the distructions not very clear??????????

.... and yes I know I mean instructions- just got close to self-distructing a few times....

My baby's birthday....

My baby is 14 tomorrow.... my baby is taller than me.... I'm sad.... Where has all that time gone? Doesn't seem like yesterday that I was blowing bubbles on that freshly bathed round little tummy...

Now I'm left with a hollow legged, nearly 6ft, Kevin (mmm experience tells me that is NOT a good thing....) duh??? So yesterday at Balcombe Belles I made his cards.

Couldn't post before today....

Mother's Day is finally here so I can post my Ma's card. These cards are so pretty and don't need a lot of work, just love. I bought them at Crafy Kaz in Burgess Hill, the papers from my card stock, white tuile from CraftsULove, roses from goodness-knows-where (good shop that!) and the words were computer generated, oh yes I chalked the cutty-outie bit to match the papers!

Scrummy Wummy Kimmie

Yesterday I spent a wonderful afternoon with the very lovely Kim Fee at CUL. Kim has such a wonderful talent both in design and teaching and we made these two really lovely cards using the Woodware Mary and Friends clear set, Bo Bunny papers and Copic Ciao pens. I went with an open mind about these pens, not sure? Do I need another different colouring set? (you know we've all been there) BUT oh my God!!!!!!!!!!! they are simply superb! I just HAD to buy a set and can't wait to colour, colour, colour!

Thanks to Jenny too for the gorgeous cake - can you let me know next class you do so I can come back for more?

Helen's Flutterbies..

I recently went to a class with the lovely Helen Meighan - one of the cards we made was the green butterfly one - I later made the card again and again.....

Stampin Up - Part Deux - THE CARDS!

Here is the lovely card and tag that we made with Stampin Up:

The Belles were Stampin Up a Treat (or two) in Balcombe

This Saturday saw the monthly meeting of the Balcombe Belles. We had a record (and maximumm) number of us (14) who all eagerly took part in a Stampin Up session with Natalie O'Shea. Poor Natalie was run ragged, but we did have a good time and we kept her going with chocolate.

Half Term Work :-)

It's half term this week and I only "work" term time, so this week I've had plenty of time to play. Thank goodness my mojo has come back and I've been able to really sit and come up with ideas. My friend Julie is always asking for cards to give to her colleagues at work as soon as I make them, she takes them - one day I'll get a stock pile... She asked me to make her Mum a card for Mothers Day:

Mojo No Show

It seems that a lot of crafters lose their mojo after the Christmas mayhem - mine seems to have disappeared completely and is refusing to come back - despite the promise of money, chocolate, wine and anything else I feel it could be tempted with. I have made a few cards but none of which have really got me excited enough to put on here. I've found myself trawling magazines for ideas which I know we all do from time to time but even these aren't really doing it for me. At this month's Balcombe Belles I made three cards from 9am-7pm! I now have two big orders for wedding place cards and a 30th birthday so please say a crafter's prayer or several for me over the next couple of weeks!

Here's a a few I've made, just to keep my blog alive and not disappear off the end of your favourite blog lists!

I've made some more which I'll try and add some time, hope you like these.
