Just a practise
Sorry for not blogging properly - for some reason my Blog has decided to disable "comments" - I have no idea why or how to retrieve them. I'm not sure if it's just me getting old but I don't find blogging that easy! If comments doesn't come up this time, can anyone help??????

Creamy lilacs and Pink Roses for my Mum...
Well! It's not her birthday 'til Friday but my Mum just HAD to peak which means I can put it on my blog early! I couldn't attend :-( Jane Gill's class on Lilacs but my mate SarahK did and she showed me how to make them - but I like cream lilacs as well as lilac lilacs. Pink roses and the other flowers (absolutely no idea what they're called!). It took me a while, but I was really very pleased with the finished product.
Floral Punch Craft is time consuming and beautiful and I must confess to only really sending these cards to people who truly appreciate the effort that is put in; but once you've learned the basics a lot of it can be done on a tray in front of the tv.
Hope you like it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM XX
p.s. just trying to re-enter this with "comments" available....

Phew finished it!
My boss is leaving and I was asked to make her leaving card. The mojo is missing just a bit at the moment, so of course, I've left it all to the last minute... The roses and other flowers I made from a Craft Creations pearlescent paper stack, the leaves are a Leone-Em punch, deeper purple card is Bazzill Forget-Me-Not, the sentiment was produced on my lappie and cut out with Stampin Up punches. I even made the box myself.... Doesn't look to bad even if I say so myself!

Peggy Sue is 82 -2 (80 but it didn't rhyme)
I am just soooooo pleased with myself with this one - don't care if I sound big-headed I L.O.V.E. love it! The papers are from Craft Creations metallic stack, the roses I made from a class with the wonderful Jane Gill, the little flowers were made with the Woodware little sun punch x3, the centres are a tiny weeny star punch then cupped with my embossing tool and turned upside down. The '80' is Quickutz Roxy, the oval punches are from Stampin Up and finally the sentiment I produced on the computer.

Yo Me Bro is Gonna be the Big Five O
Well me little Bro is gonna be the big Five-0 this coming weekend and I've been racking my brains what to do for him and in true crafters tradition 'BING' 4am it comes to me! He/well We are all big Chelsea fans here, but as I've made him Chelsea cards for the past 4 years running I thought I'd just make a Blue one this time :-) I used the Quickutz Soccer Ball die and cut out double on the plain circle so I could hide the ribbon between, then I chalked the outer of the circle and used a peel off with a darker shade of chalk to get a sort of watermark of football - not sure if you can see it too clearly. The wording is Quickutz and the alphabet is Quickutz Roxy. I left the bottom circle blank for the sentiment. I made the box (got it right first time SarahK!) and used my large square nesties to cut out the aperture which is filled with an acetate square. I can't remember where I got the football ribbon - if anyone knows can they share please as I'd love some more.
I love all my classes I go on - it's such fun to share and spend time with fellow crafters, but I really do like the buzz I get when I get to design and make something myself. Need to tidy up a bit now...

Oh What a Night!
I just lurve these toe tapper cards for those very special friend special birthdays. I would have liked to have had time to make the flowers but completely ran out. I just realised the shoe is upside down in this image as you can't see Gill the right way round... oops. Used lovely Bazzill card and the Happy Birthday stamp is from Woodware Jane Gill collection. Oh yes, the title is because Gill had a fantastic garden party on the last reasonable Saturday night we had - there was booze, music and a gorgeous hog roast mmm...

Poppies and Butterflies
I've had these Hero Arts Poppy Stamps for a little while and ummed and aahed with them, tried different colours, tried decoupage but at the end of the day poppies are RED!!!!!!! The butterfly is a Cuttlebug die set and I decorated it with some little black gems. I coloured the poppies with my new Inktense pencils, which are well and truely yummee x

Ruby Ruby Ruby and not a Poppadom to be seen...
My cousin 6,000 times removed (Spanish families are VERY close) is celebrating her 40th Wedding Anniversary in October and in true tradition there's a BIG family party. The papers are from the INdulge series www.delishdesigns.com and Bazzill and I used the Quickutz heart dies. The scallop ovals using the Stampin Up punches and the sentiment was computer generated. It's hard to tell from the photo but I cut round the hearts to make a heart shaped corner - does that make sense?

A Waistcoat for the Seagulls....

I think these little waistcoats are ideal for a man - I've made several of them and decorated them with various football logo paper. The waistcoat template is from WS Designs.

This girl just lurves Orange....
It's my brother's partner Steph's birthday this week - unlike me she really likes yellows and oranges and all those citrus colours - I personally can't stand them, so for me to make a card using these colours was a bit of a challenge - sorry, but they just don't do it for me.
The stamp is one of my favourites and the top page has a hidden secret little message book.
Back to pinks and purples tomorrow.... phew!

I just lurve my floral punch craft
I spent another lovely day with the very talented Jane Gill yesterday. You can imagine, the purple lover that I am, how excited I was to see the card we would be making by the end of the day. It took two hours to make the Lily, but for those of you who have dabbled in a bit of FPC will know that the first ones always take a long time. Off to have another go now so that I can remember how to do it - bye bye clocks ticking...

Sad times for my Boy
My close friends will know that life in the Garner household has been a bit stressful these past few months. My lovely son, who goes to Ovingdean Hall School for the Deaf in Brighton heard in February this year that his wonderful school is closing for good. Tomorrow is the final day and we're all so sad. The children are all going separate ways, their parents having had to fight to get them into other specialist schools. The staff and teachers all having received their redundancy notices at Easter have continued school life in the only way they know - outstanding!
My boy's teacher has worked at the school for 25 years and I'm proud to call her my friend. Here is the Thank You book I have made for her.

Simple in Black & White
Sorry I'm a bit late in posting this card. I got the shape/idea from a card that Jackie Huckstep had made and then made it my own. Black and white always looks so good doesn't it? The centre cross over bit was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and the white sheet inserts behind and can be pulled out for the sentiment.

Always difficult.... crafting for a crafter!
It's always really difficult making a card for a fellow crafter - this one was for a demonstrator as well! However, Helen Meighan loves Daisies and this is one flower we did on a Jane Gill's class. It's very pale and soft - for those of you who know Helen, you'll know that she makes very pretty, soft cards, hope she liked it.
The Daisy was formed from a Woodware Daisy Punch (x2). The centre is then chalked to give a little green tinge and the yellow "dot" was cupped with an embossing tool. The leaves were from a Leone-Em punch. Scalloped and plain ovals and stamp - Stampin Up.

Daring Card Makers Anniversary Challenge
This is my entry for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge www. daringcardmakers.blogspot.com - this week the challenge is "Anniversary". I know the design of this secret message card I originally did on a Kim Fee course many moons ago and it's one I've used lots of times.

Ding Dong... The Bells Are Gonna Chime...
This just has to be one of my favourite stamps and up until recently I've always used gold embossing powder - never liked it much, too messy and left "bits" everywhere. But I just bought the new Gold Stazon and yabadabadoo it's F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C! Crisp, clean and great images first time with no "bits"!

Princess Pink & Sparkly
Not sure what this pretty little Tilda is called as I borrowed it off my mate SarahK but she so reminded me of my little niece, Freya who is going to be four next week. I painted the Tilda with my distress inks - antique linen for the hair and skin and spun sugar for her dress. The background papers are Kaiser - Wish Upon, from CraftsULove. Loads of bling and glitter glue to give it all that sparkle. Hope she likes it...

No Punches.....The Real Thing
At the weekend I visited one of my very very favourite places in the whole wide world - Hever Castle. As most of you know, I just love my floral punch craft, so I just had to take some close-up photos of these little beauties to give me a bit of help with the colouring.

Lady (doesn't) Sings the Blues....
I was asked to make a birthday card for a lady Chelsea supporter - yeah I know, it's another Chelsea card, but I can't help it if all my friends have taste.....
Now, how many of you are old enough to remember the film???????
The dress and handbag were cut out using Woodware punches, the shoes and footballs Quickutz dies and of course, bazzill card.

My baby's birthday....
Oh Boy did I get into trouble when I called him "my baby" - yeah, okay he's 6ft and 15 years old, but he is and always will be my baby. The picture is from LOTV and I used Quickutz dies to cut out the windows on this card - plain but suitable for "a man"...

For Sale
I've tried lots of different colouring methods while I've been crafting but I always come back to my water colours, paper piecing and now distress inks. To make room (ha ha who am I trying to kid?) I've decided to sell my Copic Ciao Sets B and D - £50 each. I've barely used these so they're a real bargain as they're now selling at well over £60.
I'm also selling my Prismacolor set of 24 pencils - 11 of which haven't even been sharpened including a bottle of Sansodor Oil and a huge packet of paper stubs for £25 - the pencils alone cost me more than that.
If you are interested, please email me junegarner0@googlemail.com - available until next Friday (9th April) when I'll be putting them on ebay.

Another Spring in My Step?
For those of you who know me, you'll understand what I mean that this is about as near to getting 'a Spring in My Step' as I'll be getting this year! As the Magnolia stamp is named 'The Flower Basket' I thought I'd better use it as its name suggests...
The flowers at the back of the basket are from a set of Hero Arts that I've had for ages; I stamped them and then masked them before stamping the flower basket. I later paper pierced and coloured them with gel pens. The daffodils (you've probably seen on an earlier card) were made following the Leone Em technique. It took me bloomin ages.....

Rock-A-Bye Hudson
I couldn't wait to get my Magnolia Flower Basket from CUL today and when I saw it I thought it would make a lovely babies cradle. My friend Rachel had a little boy this week 'Hudson' so it all tied in nicely. The blue papers are from SU Bashful Blue pack, which I think is one of the nicest colour packs that SU do. The frilly border is Martha Stewart (of course!). Little bit of glitter glue and a tiny little blue teddy punch and finished! I might just make one with flowers in next... Hope you like it x

Red Roses
My second Blog today - I had a bit of dig deep of the craft stuff today and found this lovely stamp that I've used many times - I think it's Penny Black and this velvet paper was bought a couple of Christmas ago from CUL. My Mum will like this - she lurves red!

Butterfly Bling
I just lurve this butterfly - Marianne designs that I bought from CUL. Must confess to having a bit of trouble cutting it with my Cuttlebug but it worked beautifully with my Revolution. The peel-offs are from Craft Creations and the little butterfly is a Quickutz die. Maybe a black, white and silver butterfly isn't everyone's cup-of-tea but it's certainly got a lot of bling!!!!!!!
ADDED LATER - just had a look, not the best photo I know, but it is quite pretty in the 'flesh'....

Spring has Sprung!!!!!!!
Well finally some sunshine and I just couldn't help but use my fab new Magnolia watering can - it's just sooo pretty. I coloured it with my water colours and then highlighted with glitter gel pens. The background of the white one is stamped with "vine hearts 99p" from CUL using the Ranger Sea Shells inkpad (how many years have I had that???) and then they were both brought to life with daffodils and tiny tips made by moi. I'm really enjoying my crafting at the moment, trying things I've not done before and feeling confident when I do. Happy Spring everyone!

You can probably tell what goodies I've used - the field of hearts were on sticks of acetate.

Baby Tilda's
I just lurve these little boots. The papers are SU and the fancy edge punch is Martha Stewart - lurve them too and the square fancy edge is with Nellie's die cuts from CUL.
Sorry about the state of my Blog - I decided to try and change it, got in a right old mess and decided to come back 'another day'....

My own little bit of Spring....
Now my mate SarahK showed me how to make these wonderful little cornflowers, so I adapted the card I made at CUL added a blingy butterfly (Stampendous) and voila! I was quite pleased with this.
Spring is on its Way!!!!!
Just wanted to show you these two beauties that I made in a class that Charry ran at CraftsuLove on Saturday. In the morning we made the flower pot one using various Woodware punches and the gorgusssss Martha Stewart punches. In the afternoon - Charry's passion - Orchids, using the Leonie-Em Orchid punch. Really lovely class.

Happy New Year and may your Mojo be a good long lasting one!
Happy New Year to you all! I really hope that 2010 brings you lots of really good things and that New Year/January Mojo doesn't fall into the black hole of crafting that it tends to at this time of year!
Now, my friend Chrissie can guarantee a party every year for her birthday as it's on New Year's Eve! I know, I know, I've made these roses lots, but I do so love them, so to make Chrissie's birthday as far away from Christmas as possible here's the card I made for her. The green pearlescent paper is from Craftwork Cards paper blox, the foliage is a Leone Em and the ribbon from CUL. I also covered the front of the card with some shiny patterned vellum, but can't remember where I got it from.
I'm having an operation on my knee on Monday so I'm really hoping with a couple of weeks off work I'm going to be able to find a comfortable position to keep my knee elevated and craft at the same time.... any tips would be gratefully accepted!
