Happy Birthday Oliver

It's my nephew Oliver's first birthday this week.   Due to circumstances beyond my control I've never met him but I  have received lots of photos and he is an absolute sweetheart.   Anyway, I won't let him forget his Auntie June!

The paper is Little Boy by Echo Park Paper Company which I bought at The Glitter Pot and the stamps are Penny Black Zoophabet.   I will put some googly eyes on the lion, but I've run out so will have to get some tomorrow before posting.

Thank you for following my blog, it's so lovely reading your comments.    June x

Purrfect Ribbon Stash

I really needed somewhere to store my ribbons so I could see what I had and what I needed (I ALWAYS need ribbons....).    I found these boxes in Staples, cut out some thick card as separators and the winding began.    Now I can see exactly what I have and don't have!    As you can see Rosie and Bella just HAD to get in on the act!

Saturdays Project

Well it took a lot of will power to face the craft table again after Christmas, but I have so many birthdays in January and February I can't afford to ignore it any longer.   Today's project was for my friend's Mum.  She saw the card I made for my Mum and commissioned one "similar".   I never make two cards identical so although this one is cream lilacs again, it is different.  Hope you like it.

Christmas Birthdays

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

I have about a dozen birthdays around the Christmas/New Year period, it's actually quite difficult changing my mojo from one to the other.   Here's a couple I made.

I've had this stars and stripes paper for a long time.   The football and stars were all from Quickutz dies.   I levered the football so it opens up for the writing.

I love this Tilda.   I used my distress inks to colour and added some glitter to make her sparkle.   The two sentiments I printed on shrink plastic.

I'm off to make some Happy New Year cards now for all those people who I didn't get Christmas cards too!!!!!

Creamy lilacs and Pink Roses for my Mum...

Well!   It's not her birthday 'til Friday but my Mum just HAD to peak which means I can put it on my blog early!   I couldn't attend :-( Jane Gill's class on Lilacs but my mate SarahK did and she showed me how to make them - but I like cream lilacs as well as lilac lilacs.   Pink roses and the other flowers (absolutely no idea what they're called!).    It took me a while, but I was really very pleased with the finished product.

Floral Punch Craft is time consuming and beautiful and I must confess to only really sending these cards to people who truly appreciate the effort that is put in; but once you've learned the basics a lot of it can be done on a tray in front of the tv.

Hope you like it!    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM XX

p.s. just trying to re-enter this with "comments" available....
