Well, the 6 weeks holidays have finally arrived and I've finally started to get back into crafting mode again - got some new toys to play with too.....
My first card is for Super Anthony - the remit was for Anthony who has just become a RMN - Registered Mental Nurse and a big Superman lover. I just love the little stethoscope and nurses hat!
I just noticed that I took this picture before I'd put the 'S' on Congratulations!!!!!
My second card is for a new little Garner, born on the 16th July - welcome little Ella.
I know in the crafting world that 'Less is More' but sometimes with baby cards 'More is More'!!!!!!!!!
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are!
June x
Welcome to my Blog. I try to update it as often as possible and I just love reading your comments - thank you. Hope you enjoy the read.

Pretty Paula in Pink
My bestest friend of 49 years celebrated her birthday this week. We don't get to see each other often but we can talk for hours on the phone - several times a week! Happy Birthday Lurve!

This is a recent wedding card I made for Suzie. I did the concertina bit slightly different and instead of edging the top layer of the concertina, I cut separate strips which I edged with the crafty edger then stuck these to the top layer of the concertina. I dovetailed the corners to finish it off. A long project, but I was very pleased with the overall finished project.

Mother's Day Tulips
Oh how I just love these cards! I've made soooo many (all slightly different of course). The design came from Jackie Huckstepp (The Glitter Pot). Jackie's was bigger and a little different but the overall shape/design was hers - isn't it gorgeous? The stamp is Jane Gill's Tulips Woodware JGCL532. The die is Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur de lis rectangles.

Kit-kat eating elephant?
I just love these Woodware stamps, they're just great for such a wide variety of occasions. Phoebe (my name) was for a good friend who's just come out of hospital - not sure what is her biggest love - chocolate or cats, so she's got a bit of both with this one. The Ellie card was for my friend who has just become a Grannie. There is a lovely BABY and hearts on this set, I would have loved to have used them but fairies visited my work desk and borrowed them... they left them on the floor two days later, the floor that I'd swept twice mmm....

Phoebe the Fat Cat
This is one of the new Woodware stamps http://www.woodware.co.uk/detail_display01.php?ProdID=10877&ProdSKU=FRS113 - I've named her Phoebe. Really simple paper-piecing and some lovely googly eyes, but I think she's quite cute and I've been making several lately all in different colours.

Congratulations on your OBE!
My neighbour's cousin has been awarded and OBE - how posh! She asked me to make a card for her, so I used Jane Gill's evening jacket template. I downloaded the medal from google images.

A Heart for Helen

Just had to sneak a little of the Blues for my Bro x
Oh how I lurve this card - I wish I could take credit for the design but it's one of the very talented Jane Gill's http://janeelizabeth-flowergirl.blogspot.com/. However, I did make it and I made the rose. My little bit of 'prowess' was the match day programme in the pocket! I remembered he was born on a Saturday and the Blues had a game, so I got a copy of it off 'tinternet and printed it off!

Skateboard Dude
I made this card for Fred, who will be 11 this week - he's really into boarding so this set from Woodware Boy Zone FRCL058 was perfick. I used a 5.5" square card and cut out the zig-zag pattern and glittered the edges, backed it with the Doodlebug Stars & Stripes paper. The dudes clothes were paper pieced. Sic innit?

Crimson? Delights....
This is one of the latest flowers we made at Jane Gill's Floral Punch Craft classes at The Glitterpot www.theglitterpot.co.uk. The flower is called Crimson Delight (we believe it maybe an Australian flower). It's made from five different punches. I can thoroughly recommend these classes, please don't think you couldn't possibly do it - we all started sometime and once you've got the bug for FPC there's no going back!
Oh! and BTW - who said Crimson Delights HAVE to be crimson???? Poetic licence....

The secrets out!!
I was very flattered to be asked to make a set of Wedding Stationery for the Woodware Christmas Catalogue using Jane Gill's Wedding Set - scary or what? I loved it, despite the sleepless nights and I actually found myself walking around with an "idea's pad"! It was great. Unfortunately I had to keep 'schtum' about it until the magazine was released, which was really hard when I so wanted to share it with my crafting friends, so I hope they forgive me. Here's are two of the cards I made, the rest can be seen on http://www.woodware.co.uk/catalogues01.php
It's a beautiful set of stamps - I stamped the hearts on the top card onto shrink plastic - the heart on the second card is the actual size. The heart set is
WOODWARE
BUBBLE HEARTS - CLEAR MAGIC SET

A little Sunday playing.....
I woke up this morning full of mojo, unfortunately I have to go out later so it was a Sunday morning play session (you should see the state of my desk!). I saw the pom pom on http://stamping-fantasies.blogspot.com/ and the lovely Brenda emailed the instructions to me - which turned out to be a bigger version of a floral punch craft technique; the punches are Woodware.
The flower is a Jane Gill design http://www.woodware.co.uk/blog/ and I had a go in the lovely Papermania Glitter Embossed paper from http://www.theglitterpot.co.uk/scripts/prodList.asp. It's beautiful but it needs to be on a card....
The gift tag is a new venture for me, not made one before, but I was really pleased with this. The paper is Papermania double-sided and it's purple so it MUST be gorgeous!
Right, now I REALLY must go and get ready to go out. HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
